Features of Gundrill & BTA Machining

The gundrill was initially developed for deep hole drilling and later developed along with the technology of the automotive industry, shipbuilding, aircraft industry, machinery and tool industry, mold industry, etc. due to its advantages such as high machinability, precise and accurate straightness and roundness, and excellent surface finish.

High Efficiency

- GUNDRILL : High-speed machining of Ø 3-30, L/D 100-200 in one step

- BTA DRILL : High-speed machining of Ø16~105, L/D 100 in ONE STEP

Accuracy

  • Excellent straightness and less than 1 mm eccentricity for 1000 mm deep holes.

  • Excellent surface finish Excellent surface finish compared to TWIST DRILL due to the burnishing effect of the drill pad area by supplying a large amount of hydraulic coolant.

  • Excellent tolerance, cylindricity, and roundness.

Hard material strength

- Materials as hard as Hrc 40-45 are possible with carbide tips
